The sound you hear is that of a Puerto Rican frog called the Coquí. You will often hear it played in the Tropi Rock's garden, adding to the tropical ambiance.

Upon entering the Tropi Rock Resort, you'll know immediately that this is truly a place away from the everyday. At once elegant, European, tropical, Caribbean, quaint, romantic, artistic, private and relaxing... This is quite a unique setting... a study in playful contrasts. From the trickling water of the formally Baroque fountain at its entrance, to the breezy gazebo barbecue and bar area, the garden will unfold before you.

The scene is lush, tropical and very natural, yet well-manicured, with an attention to detail only an artist could bestow. Winding paths lead past fruit-bearing citrus trees and blooming passion vines that would make Gauguin take out his brush and canvas.

In the midst of this paradise you'll find private sitting areas nestled beside various objects d'arts carefully placed atop the garden walls with a casual flair. Separate paths lead to the tennis courts and shuffle-board area. This is the perfect setting for everything from an after-the-beach beer party to a romantic interlude for two with champagne. Even outdoor weddings and receptions can be held here with the assistance of the Tropi Rock staff.

The garden is framed by a series of "arte povera" mosaics that add to the artistic haven created here. Terra cotta suns, chips of reflective glass, broken dishware, seashells and chunks of coral stone peer out from a stucco mix into the dense green of lush tropical plantings.

The sound of rushing water fills the air as a two-story waterfall splashes playfully in a cascade of dancing drops beside the oversized freshwater swimming pool. Even the pool shower stands as a testament to the unique vision of the Tropi Rock's owners. Water shoots from the top of a tall rock formation into a mosaic-tiled pool framed by fishtail palms, anthuriums and other exotic plants.
